Abita Wild Western IPA
Abita Brewing Company, Abita Springs, LA
RELEASED: March 11, 2020
India Pale Ale brewed in the classic “west coast” style is clear copper in color with a floral hop and citrus aroma and flavors of grapefruit, pine, and caramel. Created to fill the void in our tap lines (and our hearts) for the crisp and hoppy IPAs of days past. They didn’t look like they had been poured from a Tropicana carton. This beer was brewed at Abita Brewing on January 18th, 2020 with assistance from Barcade staff. Also named for the classic video game from 1982! | ABV: 7%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn • New York, St. Mark’s Place • Jersey City • Philadelphia • New Haven • Los Angeles
VICTORY RYE SCORE 2.0
Victory Brewing Company, Downingtown, PA
RELEASED: September 26, 2019
We first brewed this beer in 2017 as more of a German style Hefeweizen with some rye malt added. For version 2.0 we boosted the rye and the alcohol so it is now more of a German style Roggenbier brewed with wheat, pre-Reinheitsgebot – of course. Hazy amber in color with a spicy aroma and flavors of baking spices, banana, and rye. This was brewed at Victory Brewing Company on August 7th, 2019 with assistance from Barcade staff. | ABV: 7%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven, Newark, Los Angeles
Abita French Quarter IPA
Abita Brewing Company, Abita Springs, LA
RELEASED: March 8, 2019
India Pale Ale brewed with rye, anise, lemon, and Peychaud’s Bitters is light amber in color with a mild spicy aroma and flavors of licorice, lemon, and rye. Brewed to evoke the flavors of the famous Sazerac cocktail of New Orleans. This beer was brewed at Abita Brewing on January 18th, 2019 with assistance from Barcade staff. Barcade staff then proceeded to drink their way around the French Quarter for the next two days. Details are hazy at best, but many Sazeracs were consumed. | ABV: 7%

CAPE ANN WILLIAMSBURG WHEAT
Cape Ann Brewing Company, Gloucester, MA
RELEASED: July 21, 2018
American style Wheat beer is golden in color with a light citrus aroma and flavors of wheat and grass. The co-founder of Barcade and the co-founder of Cape Ann were roommates in Williamsburg from 1999-2002. Back in those days, Williamsburg was a magical, undiscovered land where needles and used condoms littered the sidewalks, taxi drivers kicked you out of the cab when you said “Williamsburg”, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs played at the Charleston, and Saturday nights always ended at Kokie’s. | ABV: 5.5%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven, Newark

CAPE ANN OLD ANTEATER
Cape Ann Brewing Company, Gloucester, MA
RELEASED: April 12, 2018
An Imperial Stout brewed with cocoa nibs and black ants. This beer is black in color with a dark chocolate aroma and flavor, and a slightly tart finish. This beer was brewed at Cape Ann Brewing on February 7th, 2018 with assistance from Barcade staff. We brewed a 10 barrel batch of the beer and used one pound of dried whole ants for the entire batch. We had a pre-brewing ant tasting in the brew house and the taste of one single ant was probably the most tart thing any of us had ever tasted. The concept of the beer came from the video game Anteater, an obscure release by Tago Electronics from 1982 and a staff favorite at our Chelsea Barcade location. Ants have been on earth approximately 140 million years – and now they’re in a beer. Drink one and tell your friends: “I drink the ants.” | ABV: 11%

ABITA STILL FLY
Abita Brewing Company, Abita Springs, LA
RELEASED: November 10, 2018
Pale Ale brewed with lactose, pomegranate, and passion fruit juice is hazy amber in color with a tropical fruit aroma and flavors of a Hurricane cocktail! The hurricane is one of the signature drinks of New Orleans. The cocktail is said to have originated at a speakeasy at which the password was “storm’s a brewin’”. The fruit juice used in the cocktail has varied over the years, but versions true to the original always feature passion fruit juice. This beer was brewed at Abita Brewing on September 7th, 2017 with assistance from Barcade staff. It is NOT served in a disposable plastic cup. | ABV: 5.5%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven, Newark
VICTORY RYE SCORE!
Victory Brewing Company, Dogtown, PA
RELEASED: August 31, 2017
German style Hefeweizen brewed with rye malt is hazy pale golden in color with a spicy aroma and flavors of baking spices, banana, and rye. We aimed at a slightly more traditional style for this entry in our exclusive beer series, but the spicy rye character added to the traditional wheat beer gives it just enough complexity to make it a little unusual – and right at home with fall seasonal beers. This was brewed at Victory Brewing Company on July 28th, 2017 with assistance from Barcade staff. | ABV: 6.0%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven, Newark
HARPOON SRIRACHA BLONDE

The mash-up of beer and hot sauce is both spicy and refreshing. This is the first re-release in our exclusive beer series. The original was brewed in 2013 and due to popular demand we brought it back! This batch was brewed on April 26th, 2017 at the Harpoon Brewery in Boston on their pilot system with assistance from Barcade staff. Hot beer is served… again! | ABV: 7.4%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven
SLY FOX CHEST BOCKWELL
Sly Fox Brewing Company, Pottstown, PA
RELEASED: April 6, 2017
A traditional Dunkel Bock inspired brew with chestnut flour added to the mash. We used Vienna, Munich, caramel, and roasted malts from Bavaria. Das ist nicht reinheitsgebot! This beer was brewed on February 8th, 2017 at the Sly Fox Brewery in Pottstown, PA with assistance of Barcade staff. The beer finished at 16.4 Plato and 7.4% ABV. We originally started with the name “Chestnut Bock”, and the idea of a bock style beer brewed with whole chestnuts. On the day of the brew, we overheard someone mention the “evil forces” locked inside whole chestnuts. We called in a magician, and he performed a trick to turn the chestnuts into flour, releasing the evil forces and allowing the brew to proceed. Then, it turned out we heard wrong and it was “evil horses” they were worried about, so the whole trick was unnecessary. We laughed. Anyway, the point is that there is magic in this beer. And while you can own the beer, you can’t own the magic. | ABV: 7.4%

SHMALTZ PASTRAMI PILS
SHMALTZ Brewing Company, Clifton Park, NY
RELEASED: December 8, 2016
Pastrami Pils is a Pilsner style Lager brewed with cherry smoked malt, ground caraway, and black pepper, then “dry hopped” with horseradish and rye. The collaborative beer is 5.5% ABV, and evokes the sharp, smoky flavors of the magical cured meat. It was brewed at the Shmaltz Brewery in Clifton Park, NY on October 14th 2016 with the assistance of Barcade staff. Although no actual pastrami was used in the brew, plenty was eaten throughout the brew day to keep everyone focused and “thinking like pastrami”. | ABV: 5.5%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven
CAPTAIN LAWRENCE SIMPSONS DID IT! IPA
Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Elmsford, NY
RELEASED: June 9, 2016
This India Pale Ale with pineapple was brewed at the Captain Lawrence Brewery in Elmsford, New York on April 7th 2016 with assistance from Barcade staff. The beer was brewed with a generous amount of hops, then fermented with pineapple puree, and dry hopped. Just when everyone thought there was enough pineapple, we added some more into the bright tanks just to be sure. We had the idea for this beer some time ago but since we don’t have our own brewery, it took a while to find the right partner and make it happen. In the time it took for us to settle the brew date, brew the beer, and keg this one up approximately 947 “IPA + fruit” variations hit the market. So, you know what they say… Simpsons Did It! | ABV: 7.5%
LOCATIONS SERVED: Brooklyn, New York, St. Mark’s Place, Jersey City, Philadelphia, New Haven
SMUTTYNOSE COILY
Smuttynose Brewing Company, Hampton, NH
RELEASED: May 26, 2016
Coily is a Belgian style Saison brewed with Italian Plums, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Beans. It was brewed at the secret Smuttlabs Brewery after a collaborative test batch was brewed at Smuttynose’s Portsmouth Brewery on August 5th 2015 with assistance from Barcade staff. Coily is also a purple snake born from egg who pursues his nemesis Q*Bert relentlessly across the endless pyramids that they both exist on. Q*Bert can only elude Coily by leaping onto a transport disk. This confuses Coily, causing him to jump off the edge of the pyramid where he falls into oblivion. Don’t fall into oblivion. | ABV: 8.0%

GREENPORT GOTH LOGGER
Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Greenport, NY
RELEASED: January 14, 2015
German style Schwarzbier brewed with cocoa nibs is black in color with a sweet malt aroma and flavors of dark roasted malts, molasses and dark chocolate. This beer was brewed at Greenport Harbor’s original brewery in Greenport, New York on October 28th 2014 with assistance from Barcade staff. We were going to call it Goth Lager but later that day, after consuming several beers and oysters, and firing gourds and pumpkins from the brewery’s trebuchet, we heard tales of the mythical figure known as the “Goth Logger”, also known in some regions as the “Lumbergoth”. Beware!! | ABV: 5.9%

Climax Brewing Company, Roselle Park, NJ
RELEASED: October 23, 2014
Belgian style Dubbel is chestnut in color with aromas of toffee and figs and flavors of candi sugar, dark malt, dates and ripe plums. Climax has brewed almost zero Belgian style beers over their near 20 years of existence, so them concocting this one for Barcade’s 10th Anniversary was special. The beer made its debut at the Barcade 10th Anniversary party in Brooklyn. | ABV: 8.0%

FISHERMAN’S PEPPER II
Cape Ann Brewing Company, Gloucester, MA
RELEASED: July 23, 2014
Belgian style Saison brewed with freshly ground peppercorns is hazy golden in color with a spicy aroma and flavors of light malt, banana and black pepper. This beer is named for the 1982 Exidy video game Pepper II, which was a rare sight in the arcade but very popular as a Coleco Vision cartridge. The beer was brewed at Cape Ann’s brewpub on the Gloucester harbor-front on June 20th 2014 with assistance from Barcade staff. We celebrated that night with what we think was the world’s first “reverse beer event” – where a bar took over a brewery! The event featured 10 of our classic video games, including our rare Pepper II cabinet. You devil, you, you’re an angel whippersnapper evil eye! | ABV: 7.0%

FISHERMAN’S CLAM PORTER
Cape Ann Brewing Company, Gloucester, MA
RELEASED: March 2, 2012
Robust Porter brewed with fresh surf clam shells is nearly black in color with a roasted malt aroma and flavors of dark chocolate, toffee and earth with a light, brine-y finish. Brewed at Cape Ann’s brewpub in Gloucester, Massachusetts on February 7th 2012 with assistance from Barcade staff. Fresh (and somewhat sandy) surf clam shells were mashed in and then after much debate where we worried it wasn’t going to be “clammy” enough, we decided to add clam broth to the boil as well! | ABV: 6.6%

SIXPOINT-BARCADE BEER PROJECT
Sixpoint Brewery, Brooklyn, NY
RELEASED: 2011-2014
For two years, we were thrilled to be exclusively serving a series of re-releases of retired Sixpoint beers. These beers were originally brewed by Sixpoint and served at Barcade in Brooklyn during 2004 and 2005. Both companies opened in 2004 and these were some of the first Sixpoint beers ever on tap at Barcade. The series commenced with the re-release of East Coast Amber on November 1st 2011 and continued on with S.M.P., Rebellion, Abigale, Black Soul, Bolshoi and Encore. The release of Encore was commemorated with a grand finale beer event on March 6th 2014 with all of the taps at the (then only) 3 Barcade locations being taken over by Sixpoint. 75 Sixpoint beers were served including some of the final kegs we had stashed from the Beer Project.

CLIMAX BAVARIAN DARK
Climax Brewing Company, Roselle Park, NJ
RELEASED: December 17, 2011
Munich style Dunkel Lager is deep amber in color with a toffee aroma and flavors of toasted malts, brown sugar and caramel. This beer was a seasonal release of Climax Brewing for several years and was a favorite of Brooklyn’s Barcade staff back in “the old days”. Sadly, it was discontinued in 2007. It was a beer that we dearly missed and so Climax brewed a special batch of it just for us and for a limited time. There was much rejoicing! | ABV: 6.0%
